Solomon Crook Shares Video For ‘The Day I Thought About Dying’ Feat. Tyrun

Wellington-based songsmith Solomon Crook has shared a stunning audio-visual package titled ‘The Day I Thought About Dying’ – a musical marriage of Crook’s soulful vocal delivery over expertly-honed modern pop production, contributed by Devin Abrams (Drax Project, Pacific Heights, Shapeshifter). The song’s lyrics were crafted in part at a writing camp in the beachside town of Waitarere, before becoming a collaborative effort with singer-songwriter Tyrun to help field the song’s chorus.

The accompanying video was directed by Pōneke-based camera wizard Oscar Keys and heavily references Ancient Rome with a rich red colour palette and an Emperor-esque garb being donned by Crook. Our protagonist is accosted by spectral shadows before being falling to his knees in the ocean.
