Russian born, London-based dancefloor destroyer DJ Vadim has unveiled Flashback (The Electric Drop) – “an urban review of some of the biggest Fat Freddy’s Drop tracks re-done in an electric way,” revisiting and refreshing tracks originally remixed by the producer in 2014. The new collection heavily features Chicago’s Pugs Atomz, a core member of Vadim’s own soulful hip hop crew The Electric that toured Europe with Fat Freddy's Drop in 2009. The eight tracks are a collection of flow-heavy re-imaginings of huge Fat Freddy's tunes such as ‘Cays Cray’ and ‘Wandering Eye’, just in time for both DJ Vadim’s impending visit to Aotearoa and today's release of the Pōneke group's new studio album Special Edition Part 1.
