Fat Freddy's Drop Share New Collection 'Special Edition Part 1'

Aotearoa dub-reggae titans Fat Freddy's Drop have today unveiled the first half of their fifth studio album Special Edition, ahead of deep-frying the eardrums of fans at their upcoming star-studded nationwide tour. Citing such sonic touchstones as Detroit techno, Balearic dance grooves, and even a smidgen of "Steely Dan swagger" on 'Raleigh Twenty', the Pōneke group's kaleidoscopic six track collection is primed to generate maximum summer vibrations. They'll be playing ten shows from Kerikeri to Queenstown, supported on their sun soaked travels from December to February by such significant musical figures as Avantdale Bowling Club, JessB, Chaii, Bailey Wiley and DJ Jazzy Jeff of Fresh Prince of Bell-Air fame.
