Dynamic Tāmaki Makaurau duo Haz Beats and Miloux have teamed up for a soulful new EP Blonde. Veteran producer and crate digging sample maestro Haz Beats built his reputation working with acts like Home Brew, Diggy Dupe, and Avantdale Bowling Club. While that sound is definitely present on Blonde, Miloux’s powerful and honey-sweet vocals recontextualize Haz’s heavy soul-jazz beats, making for a distinctly New Zealand late night RnB groove. Packed with shimmering melodies and intimate moments, Blonde was recorded at Red Bull Studio with Ben Lawson, and features contributions from Frank Eliesa (Yokozuna, CHAII) and Guy Harrison (Avantdale Bowling Club), along with a hot feature from SWIDT’s SPYCC.
