Jonathan Bree Unveils Single 'Cover Your Eyes' + Video

Aotearoa avant-pop creator Jonathan Bree has shared the second single from his upcoming, yet-to-be-named fourth solo album. ‘Cover Your Eyes’ follows the release of “break-up song you can dance to” ‘Waiting On The Moment’, this time running with a darker tone and almost sinister, booming strings. The track looks at gaming as a form of escapism in a world where social interactions are looked at under a magnifying glass, and being absorbed in a game is the only way out. The self-directed video follows Bree's trend of faceless, 1960s-styled visuals, with the same minimalistic black and white look as the 'You're So Cool' clip – which is now sitting at more than 14-million views.
