Experience SoccerPractise's Visual Album 'Te Pō'

A.K. / Monday 25th November, 2019 11:21AM

Tāmaki Makaurau groundbreakers SoccerPractise lead viewers through warped worlds both real and manufactured in their visual album Te Pō, dipping into a tumultuous Hong Kong, a toga party procession, and other spaces somewhere between IRL and URL. Singles 'Te Pō', 'Kaua E Mate Wheke' and 'Posture' hinted at the massive sounds in store for the full collection, tinged with futuristic synths and off-kilter early 2000s reverb and vocals, amplified with unnerving 3D rendered visuals for almost every track. Two years after the release of their self-titled debut album, the trio of Geneva Alexander-Marsters (Important), Thom Burton (Moppy) and Leo Horgan have delivered eleven tracks absolutely worth the wait. Strap in and brace yourself for the full jaw-dropping Te Pō over on the group's site here, visualised and animated by Erika Sklenars (Lady Lazer Light) and Dan Harris...

The visual release kicks off with the appropriately named introductory track 'Mihi'...

'Te Pō' is out now via Kartel Music, watch all videos from the album over on SoccerPractise's site here.
