Listen To Girls Rock! Tāmaki Makaurau Showcase 2019 Collection

The Tāmaki Makaurau leg of Girls Rock! Camp Aotearoa nurtured the budding musical minds of women, intersex and non-binary youth back in January, and they've finally shared the original songs created during 2019's programme. An intensive week of workshops and classes led by women in our local music industry – including Amanda Cheng (Wax Chattels), Geneva Alexander-Marsters (SoccerPractise), Amelia Berry (Amamelia, Fimo), Gussie Larkin (Mermaidens), Millie Lovelock (Repulsive Woman) and organiser Nicole Gaffney (Carb On Carb) – culminated in a live showcase, with eight brand new bands performing eight debut songs. The showcase was recorded live, and is now available online to stream and purchase as a precious collection of Aotearoa's future rock stars.
