Mac DeMarco, his moustache and Fazerdaze had the heaving Auckland Town Hall crowd wrapped around their finger in Tāmaki Makaurau last night, DeMarco's first headline show on our shores since his 2015 tour. Local pop songwriter Amelia Murray and band Alex Freer (A.C. Freazy) and Mark Perkins (Merk) well and truly warmed up the crowd before the Canadian guitar charmer graced the stage to a roaring room, donning his standard dad cap right the way through save for a brief stint in a sparkly pink cowboy hat on loan from a fan in the mosh.
