King Gizzard Release Two Live Albums For Australian Bush Fire Relief

King Gizzard Release Two Live Albums For Australian Bush Fire Relief

C.C. / Monday 13th January, 2020 9:46AM

Never ones to do anything by halves, Melbourne psych-rock juggernauts King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard have released two jam-packed live records, to help wildlife endangered by the ongoing inferno in their Australian homeland. All proceeds from Live In Adelaide '19 and Live In Paris '19 will go to Animals Australia and Wildlife Victoria (respectively) – following directly on from 2019's environmentally focussed thrash opus Infest The Rats Nest. Drawing upon the huge wealth of material laid down over the past few years by the famously productive group, both albums showcase King Gizz in high energy riff-mangling mode (kicking off Live In Adelaide '19 with no-options anthem 'Planet B'), with plenty of mystical and fun digressions along the way, such as the synth-tastic 'Cyboogie', the epic psychedelia of 'Crumbling Castle' and party-starting foot-stomper 'Boogieman Sam'. The band will of course be playing at Tāmaki Makaurau's Laneway 2020 festival in late January – open your ears and your wallets for an urgent cause via the streaming links below...
