Squarepusher Unveils New Album 'Be Up A Hello'
A certain tribe of left-field electronic fans will be absolutely chuffed today as UK weird breaks legend Squarepusher ends his five year hiatus with new album Be Up A Hello. Having spent the past few years scoring music for CBeebies and making music for Royal Festival Hall organ, Be Up A Hello sees Tom Jenkinson back under the Squarepusher moniker and back surrounded by vintage digital and analog electronics. Opening with 'Oberlove', a bewilderingly glitched out take on Pachelbel’s 'Canon', by the time you reach the one-two punch of floorfillers 'Vortrack' and 'Terminal Slam', it’s clear that Be Up A Hello really delivers on what has made Squarepusher so well loved – spluttering breakbeats, kaleidoscopic soundscapes, and unstoppable off-kilter grooves.
'Be Up A Hello' is available now on Warp Records via Inertia Music.
