World conquering UK rock legends Queen took to the stage at Pōneke's Westpac Stadium last night with US vocalist Adam Lambert, who over the past six years has been tasked with the nigh-impossible challenge of picking up the baton from incomparable former lead singer Freddie Mercury, who sadly passed from our earthly realm in 1991. Lambert brought his own distinct flair to the event, rocking an outré pair of shades while belting out the classics alongside original Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor. Queen and Adam Lambert's Rhapsody Tour marches onwards across Aotearoa over the next week, hitting Tāmaki Makaurau's Mt Smart Stadium on 7th February and Ōtepoti's Forsyth Bar Stadium on 10th February.
