Live Photos: The Mutton Birds - San Fran, Wellington

Don McGlashan and The Mutton Birds made their long-awaited return to Aotearoa's stages over summer, dispensing their classic tunes to the delight of fans from Dunedin to Napier. They wrapped up a commanding two night, sold-out headline run at Pōneke's San Fran on Friday, supported on the evening by moustachioed songwriting talent Finn Johansson. While photography ace Bruce Mackay was sadly unable to capture snaps of Johansson from behind his mics and synth, he delivered a superb selection of images of McGlashan with original bandmates Ross Burge, David Long and Alan Gregg strutting their stuff.
