Grimes Shares New Album 'Miss Anthropocene'

In the five years since releasing Art Angels, Grimes aka Claire Boucher has become a media personality in her own right – rising from genuinely underground roots to global ubiquity and possibly beyond, via her oft-noted relationship with Elon Musk. With titles alluding to the grim, visionary cosmology of Jack Kirby's DC Comics work (plus, one suspects, Grant Morrison's psychedelic Final Crisis reimaginings) on new album Miss Anthropocene, the Canadian electronic artist illuminates her sci-fi Source material with post-human production strategies – techno-pop sonics collide with Boucher's patented new agey vocal sweep.
