Tāmaki Makaurau synth-pop stars Crap Date exploded onto the scene in early 2019 with their snappy debut 'Genoa City Blues' and the hits refuse to quit, with the duo's spicy Valentine's Day single '600 Abs' currently ruling student radio airwaves. The team of Jamie Lee Smith (co-writer of Princess Chelsea's viral smash 'Cigarette Duet') and Marcel Bellvé (Lipsink) have now revealed a cheeky accompanying clip for their latest tune, happily appropriating footage from the 2016 remake of historical epic Ben Hur (stating it's "intended as satire" in relation to the Copyright Act 1976) – we reckon their creative gambit paid off, in abs!
