Live Photos: Obey The Riff 2020 - Panhead Brewery, Wellington

Once a year, in the very last whiffs of summer, the doom and psych heads of the country journey to Upper Hutt for Obey The Riff. The 2020 iteration went down over the weekend, showing no mercy to thrumming crowds of headbangers braving the annihilating hot acts. International thrashers Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, The Schizophonics, Witchskull and Potion championed the riff-fest, chewing through heavy tracks as the sun set over Panhead Brewery. Amongst the throngs of beards and black tees, our very own Beastwars, Earth Tongue, Linen and End Boss held their own, channelling off-kilter stoner rock in their killer sets.
