Lontalius & Singular Balance Share Collaborative EP 'Alive'
Lontalius, the solo dream-pop project of Pōneke's Eddie Johnston, has gifted fans his second EP in a year, in edition to his sparkling sophomore album All I Have which dropped in spring 2020. Alive is the mind-meld of Johnston and Japanese producer Singular Balance (Justin Ueyama-Burke), a musical friendship that grew from sharing demos online, "a really pure, genuine collaboration", and blossomed into an atmospheric five track bedroom-pop collection. Singles 'Alive', 'Weight' and 'The Ocean' set the pace for an EP of heart-squeezing fuzzy creations, and on the full release we hear a whisper of Ueyama-Burke's ethereal vocals on 'Burden' and 'Someway Somehow'. Press play on Alive for a brief lovesick nostalgia trip...
