Listen To The Spectre Collective's Album 'Delirium Imperium'

A.K. / Tuesday 17th March, 2020 3:05PM

Pōneke's The Spectre Collective have unleashed their fourth album Delirium Imperium, a killer concoction of psych-tinged folk, pop and swamp rock. Switched on to the pocket of talent they live in, core trio Will Agnew (Mothers Dearest), Lochie Noble (Transistor), and Jonathan Shirley (Beatcomber, Church of Goya) welcomed aboard Anita Clark (Motte) and her enchanting violin, flutist Blair Clarke, and Oliver Devlin (Hans Pucket) for vocals and trombone. Delirium Imperium pulls the band in every direction, sounding like Belle And Sebastian-folk one minute, The Reduction Agents-pop the next, and ending with ripsnorter thrash tracks 'The Floating Limb' and the topically named 'Herd Immunity'. As the band recommends, "Quarantine yourself and let your ears melt as the madness takes hold." Prepare yourself for an ear-melting, social-distancing experience with Delirium Imperium...

The three-piece and their music making pal Oliver Devlin are simultaneously cute and terrifying in the clip for 'Swamp Fling'...

The Spectre Collective's 2020 album 'Delirium Imperium' is out now.
