Louisa Nicklin has moved at lightning speed to raise support for Karangahape Road's beloved venue The Wine Cellar, currently out of action for at least a month (as with bars across the country) due to the coronavirus outbreak. Founded and operated by Rohan Evans and staffed by members of our music community, The Wine Cellar has provided a crucial platform for adventurous local sounds and more traditional forms, both as an inner city venue and via Evans' on-site imprint Arcade Recordings. Recorded, mixed and mastered by Evans, Louisa Nicklin's Live at The Wine Cellar captures the Tāmaki Makaurau songwriter with band featuring Mason Fairey and Eamon Edmuson-Wells in superb form, showcasing four songs originally included on her debut EP When Are You Home, plus spine-tingling 2018 single 'Let Yourself'. All proceeds from the new collection will go to The Wine Cellar, enjoy the stream below and show them some love via Bandcamp here.

"Forever grateful to Rohan Evans for all the support he gives local musicians."

NZ Music Commission are calling for all landlords of music venues to give urgent rent relief to their live music tenants here.
