Listen To Windburn Doomed & Stoned Festival Compilation

C.C. / Album art: Glenn Smith (www.glennoart.com) / Tuesday 7th April, 2020 10:56AM

A monstrous collection of riff-worshipping artists from throughout Aotearoa has been unleashed upon the earholes of unsuspecting listeners with the sprawling Windburn Doomed & Stoned Festival compilation. Originally set to accompany the aforementioned two-night knees up at Pōneke's heavy music headquarters Valhalla during the month of 4/20, which has been postponed to a later date, the Doug McFarlane-curated (Bloodnut) sixteen track opus delivers an ear drum annihilating document of what might have been and a bloody great collection in its own right. Newcomers End Boss kick off proceedings with their debut single 'Feral', and the intensity doesn't relent until the decaying guitar tones of Thousand Limbs' concluding track 'In Der Fremde'. Frustratingly required to temporarily close up due to Aotearoa's four week lockdown, Valhalla are offering a feast of awesome options for you to help support the scene in the meantime here. They shared their excitement for the new collection via Facebook...

"Do yah miss us yet? Filthy riffs, dirty bass, infamous toilets. I was looking forward to the weekend just been with Windburn festival. Thankfully the good people organising the fest have made a compilation so you can do all the things you do in the carpark, now in the safety of your own home."
