i.e. crazy Returns With Single 'As It Stands'

Tāmaki Makaurau's i.e. crazy, the project of multi-instrumentalist and sound designer Maggie Magee aka CF Duncan, follows 2019's harrowing 'Country Justice' with new single 'As It Stands'. In the centre of a discombobulating collage of electronic drones, mechanical beats and sample snatches of dialogue, i.e. crazy casts her unsparing gaze upon a world of love and loss – ramping the emotional intensity up to 11 with such lines as "... I’ve been used / & I used you too, like a cheap perfume / like a blow-up doll in a backstreet brawl… I’m seeing stars in a boxer’s hand / a one-night stand with a pension plan." Primarily written in a defunct piano factory in Leipzig, Germany, the unexpectedly touching 'As It Stands' heralds the release of a new album from i.e. crazy, set to drop later this year...
