Hospital Sports Announce Album + Share Single 'Go To Sleep'

A.K. / Wednesday 29th April, 2020 10:09AM

Tāmaki Makaurau three-piece Hospital Sports have emerged from the lockdown fog with news of their reformation, a third album in the works, and single 'Go To Sleep'. Fronted by Danny Ebdale, the trio parted ways after releasing their killer 2017 alt-pop record Take Care with former bassist Morgan Allen. Allen has now shifted into the Depot Sound studio mixing seat for On We And You, and Laurence Diack joins Ebdale and Nick Prussing as the newest Hospital Sports band member. The lead single from the fresh lineup eases in with lilting strings and hushed percussion, leaning into dark, self-reflective lyrics "I'm rolling my eyes to the back of my broken mind to find anything worthwhile I can say". 'Go To Sleep' soars and hits home as Diack launches into his divine cello part, lifting the track to new sonic heights amidst relentless kick and crash from Prussing. Keep an ear out for more music from Hospital Sports as they ramp up for their full album release in early July...

Hospital Sports' third album 'On We And You' is out Friday 3rd July.
