Christchurch electronic artist Zane 2000 (Jonty O’Connor) has been using his time wisely, busting out an arsenal of synths to unleash a storming new cut. Daring to declare 'Time Just Is', the instrumental single conjures visions of a Demon energy drink-chugging Tangerine Dream hardwired into the Matrix, with soulfully evocative saxophone courtesy of Jimmy Rainey matching the sublime visuals showcased in the track's accompanying DIY clip. "At the start of the lock down a lot of my mental energy was spent thinking about the nature of time itself. My fantastical projections of time elapsed (and my personal favorite, time yet to be elapsed) proved to be puzzling. In response to this conundrum the words time! just! is! kept surfacing in my mind. It is my reminder to live in the present. I remember another mantra that still sticks with me to this day which is 'everything is temporary', I saw that tagged on the wall of a toilet cubicle.
