The triumphant return of Tāmaki Makaurau's Team Dynamite continues with a bangin’ stop-motion video for their latest track 'Who?'. From the mind of Askew One, aka graffiti and digital artist Elliot O’Donnell, the full team behind the dynamite are an energetic blur in his black and white visual treatment, relaying movement and big emotion through a series of wide aperture snaps. MCs Tony Teez and Lucky Lance, with cameo bars from Diggy Dupé, flex their steez in this clip – a worthy accompaniment for the first track from their upcoming album Respect The Process. Take a look and a listen to the video, created with the support of NZ On Air's New Music Single funding scheme, and peruse some behind the scenes insights from creator Askew One:

“Obviously as things progressed rather positively on the COVID-19 front here, we were eventually able to get in a situation where it was acceptable to shoot some performance to mix up with the stop motion technique as well - we achieved an effect that pulls the two techniques together by shooting with the aperture wide open in fairly low light settings. The reference point for this video was a lot of early 90’s stuff rather than the overly slick direction of recent videos. My personal feeling is that gels well with Team Dynamite’s grounded and authentic sound."

Team Dynamite's 2020 Album 'Respect The Process' is out this August via Years Gone By.
