Neil MacLeod Announces Wellington BLM Fundraiser Show

Pōneke electronic pop and experimental live performer Neil MacLeod returns to the gigging world this month for a one off show at San Fran in Te Whanganui-a-Tara. Last year MacLeod released his To Unfold EP and spent the following months selling out audio-visual shows in theatres throughout the country. Later this month he returns with old songs and new, and is taking the opportunity to donate 100% of the night's profits to US bail funds in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. MacLeod and his two-piece band will be joined by a mysterious yet-to-be-announced special guest, so lock in your spot at the link below, and begin mental preparation to be in a room with more than 100 people...

UPDATE from the organisers [17/06/20]: "We are very humbled to announce that due to financial support from San Fran and Wellington City Council who have come on board in sponsorship of this show, Neil MacLeod at San Fran June 19th is a KOHA entry gig, with our entire performance fee, and all koha being donated to Bail Funds, Mutual Aid Funds and Racial Justice Organisations in support of the peaceful protests happening in the United States.

Our hope is that running this as a koha show, made possible by our generous sponsors also makes attending easier for those who are still experiencing financial difficulty post Covid-19.

Almost exactly one year since his last headline shows in the capital, Neil MacLeod is pleased to bring his distinct style of indie electronica to the San Fran stage once again on Friday June 19th, performing older favourites and some new material accompanied by his two piece band.

In support of the peaceful protests going on in the United States, we have decided to donate 100% of profits from the performance to Bail Funds, Mutual Aid Funds and Racial Justice Organisations.
