The Cakekitchen 'Trouble Again In This Town' Album Release Show Announced
Described as a "must-read" by Marc Masters for Pitchfork's Best Music Books 2019 roundup, Graeme Jefferies of The Cakekitchen's memoir Time Flowing Backwards details a life in music that "came very close to disaster several times.” Hot on the heels of that significant achievement, North Carolina imprint Ally Records have quietly released Trouble Again in this Town, the inimitable This Kind Of Punishment co-founder's first new Cakekitchen release in four years. Entirely written and recorded on a portable 16 track by Jefferies, he'll be playing a special Tāmaki Makaurau live event celebrating his new record's release, performing songs from the album plus a selection of classic material at The Wine Cellar on Saturday 4th July. Grip the details right here and open your ears to Trouble Again in this Town below...
