With live gigs back in full effect, it's time to raise a glass to the sprit of independence at FreedomFest 2020 – taking over Tāmaki Makaurau's inner city Ding Dong Lounge and Dead Witch with two nights of guitar-wrangling good times on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th July, aka Independence Day in the USA. Sporting a stacked bill including Waikato-based thrash hellraisers Deathnir, Auckland heavy rock dynamos Skinny Hobos and many more, a portion of ticket sales from the weekend-long rager will be donated towards Ding Dong Lounge, to help them continue to keep hosting awesome events into our no-limits, post-lockdown new era. To celebrate our new found freedom, we’re highjacking Americas holiday!! The 4th of July celebration is ours now! So come down to Dead Witch and Ding Dong Lounge for one hell of a weekend

Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th of July are two dates you won’t forget after this year. Across 2 nights with 8 bands that are all chomping at the bit to get back on stage you won’t won’t to miss this.

This gig isn’t only about getting back on stage and having a good time, it is also about showing some love to what is like another home to so many of us. With that said, a portion of the proceeds from the tickets will be getting donated to Ding Dong Lounge.

Tickets for both nights $30, or $20 for single night tickets on the door.
