Melbourne by way of Dunedin electronic artist Vanessa Worm is a rising force, with her debut album Vanessa 77 set to drop in early July via Glasgow-based global tastemakers Optimo Music (after being delayed due to Covid-19), and a keen local following due to appearances at Friendly Potential's Beacon and Catacombs festivals. Speaking of "the journey from disempowerment into empowerment, from separation into unity, from hatred into love or visa versa," Worm's new single 'Heaven To Hell' is a no-wave rager for Liquid Sky-loving club-goers – discombobulating loops, trance-inducing melody lines and robotic beat action create a uneasy setting for Worm's on-edge vocals to work their magic.
