Eyeliner Shares Title Track To New Album 'Drop Shadow' + Video 'Keep Calm'

Eyeliner, the instrumental 'vaporwave' project of Aotearoa electronic pioneer Luke Rowell (Disasteradio), has revealed to the world a mouthwatering first taste of his long awaited fourth studio album Drop Shadow, launching in mid-August via Ohio-based imprint Orange Milk Records. Released alongside a magnificent CGI video for 'Keep Calm' created by Rowell himself, the peppy title track welcomes fans and newcomers alike back to Eyeliner's world like a smiling mascot for an omnipresent global mega-corp – nailing the landing with zag-zagging grooves and cartoony (yet streetwise) avant-funk flair to spare.

The atmospheric and reflective 'Keep Calm' gestures towards emotional territory explored throughout Drop Shadow, with a suite of tracks on the record expressing the theme of "personal loss and caring for a sick loved one". Immersing viewers in a labyrinth of sounds and sensations, the visuals for 'Keep Calm' offer a meditative tableau of grand piano and Toyota Prius with floating rotating saxophone, elevated from humble coffee-sipping beginnings to galactic heights (recalling the much-studied scene from Godard's Two or Three Things I Know About Her) via the most glorious of solos.
