Good luck trying not to dance to Same Name Confusion's captivating new number 'ESP (Telepathy)', the first release since their 2019 debut EP In Theory. The Pōneke team of pop-rock fiends took a new approach to recording this time around, recruiting help from James Goldsmith and performing songs with the entire band in studio. The result is a solid recreation of the killer live experience they're known for, with full band call and response, Courtney Barnett-esque twangy vocals and Talking Heads everything else, you can almost hear the slap of bare feet on the Surgery Studios floor.
