In crystal clear voice while tackling the inherently tricky topic of unexpressed emotion, Cullen's 'Love Lies' spins a tale of young romance on the rocks, embellished by panoramic synths and fist-pumping rock stomp – recalling the big-hearted anthems of Australian pop-rocker Alex Cameron with lines like "If you cry / you're no less of a guy".
