Osees Drop Psych-Punk Single 'If I Had My Way'
One of the best bands I’ve ever experienced live, California’s Osees (formerly known as Oh Sees, among many more variations) whipped up a frenzy of flailing limbs and tangled guitar strings when they tore through Aotearoa back in 2012. Hyperprolific Osees frontman John Dwyer and his gang have a new album named Protean Threat lined up to release in mid-September and have revealed the record’s latest single ‘If I Had My Way’, a scorching hot cauldron of psych-punk goodness — sporting emotionally yo-yoing lyrics encouraging listeners to take stock of their current state of being. Bucking the band’s tradition, no face-melting animated visuals have yet been unveiled for their latest single, but how killer is Dylan McConnell’s cover artwork for the album?
’Protean Threat’ releases on Friday 18th September via Castle Face Records.
