Thorington Unveils Debut EP 'Maybe They Love You'

Annabel Kean / Tuesday 25th August, 2020 12:57PM

The brand new three-track EP from pop songwriter Thorington (Being., Yukon Era) is bright-eyed and fresh, running with the bouncy energy of late summer's 'Vanity'. Maybe They Love You feels like the songs of a hopeless romantic in deep, or maybe advice for a friend unlucky in love, with totally swoon-worthy, sweeping piano in the title track, and the bleak lyrics over peppy opener 'I Could Die Again'. Hamiltonian collaborator and producer Yuki aka Hugo Chan took on co-producing duties on the former, while Thorington self-produced on the glitchy 'Move Yourself Away' — an introspective, electronic mantra, dripping funk bass and body-shaking synth. Get your fix of up-and-comer Thorington...
