The Bats Unveil Single / Video 'Another Door'
Ōtautahi jangle pop pioneers The Bats send us headlong into the world of Canterbury gothic with the video for their tremulous new tune 'Another Door'. The second single from their upcoming album Foothills, 'Another Door' is a hypotonic blend of chiming guitars and lingering harmonies. The accompanying video, a collaboration between Bats bassist / producer Paul Kean and FlowStateFPV, and created with the support of NZ On Air, draws us through a misty pastoral landscape ripped straight from a Rita Angus painting. Filmed not far from where the album was recorded, the band have hinted that the clip plays with the song’s mysterious hidden meanings.
