Now Hear This! Festival Announced For October 2020
The hard-working team at Tāmaki Makaurau's Audio Foundation have assembled a humungous bill of experimental artists from all throughout Aotearoa for Now Hear This!, taking over venues in and around the Karangahape Rd district over six nights and two days this October. A biennial celebration of "glorious noise, sublime sounds, singular songs and ecstatic improvisation," 2020's festival lineup runs incredibly deep, featuring over seventy artists / groups, spotlighting such significant local figures as Crude, Riki Gooch, Bruce Russell, Stef Animal, Big Fat Raro, Phil Dadson, Pumice, Blood Mothers, Rosy Parlane, Motte, Dropzone and many more. Acknowledging current heath concerns around live events, the Audio Foundation will be monitoring developments with Covid-19 and hope to release more tickets as the situation improves. Delve into the schedule below and prepare to have your preconceptions about whatever "music" is shattered forever...
