King Sweeties Share Single / Video 'Tonight We Could Go Out Dancing'
Dream duo King Sweeties share the third single from their forthcoming debut EP We Are The Bosses, a track they swear was written pre-Covid despite it's uncanny relevance to pandemic living. It's called 'Tonight We Could Go Out Dancing (As If It’s the Last)' and is about "remaining hopeful in tough times", a sentiment I think we can all get behind ahead of Auckland's first weekend at alert level one. Members Bic Runga and Cass Basil (Tiny Ruins, Carnivorous Plant Society) crank up the heat on the new dance track, pumping the bass and beats at full tilt from the onset, as dynamic and off-kilter as the high-contrast Frances Haszard animated visuals. The APRA Silver Scroll nominated act perform live for the first time on the 20th of October as part of Elemental Nights: Hopetoun Alpha Series, joined by Opossom for a not-to-be-missed Tuesday night in Auckland. No worries if you can't make their Elemental Nights set, Bic Runga has a stacked Te Ika-a-Māui tour lined up through late this month and early November. Get hyped for some Level 1 dancin' tonight with the brand new King Sweeties...
