Lyttelton superstar Marlon Williams has opened up a treasure chest of thrilling news for fans this morning. He's revealed he'll be embarking on a solo tour of Aotearoa in February and March 2021, playing an extensive run of all ages events from Auckland to Invercargill. That's by no means all that Williams has tucked up his sleeve, as the Silver Scroll winning artist has announced the forthcoming launch of a new collaborative album with seasoned Canadian songwriting duo Kacy & Clayton titled Plastic Bouquet, heralded by lead single ‘I Wonder Why’ and releasing on 11th December. The heartmelting song is accompanied by gorgeous nostalgia-tinged visuals, filmed by Janelle Wallace during recording sessions at Ghetto Box Studio in Saskatoon, Canada in winter 2018.

Recently seen on the silver screen in director Justin Kurzel's mind-bending The True History of the Kelly Gang, Williams' nationwide tour promises to be an intimate and career-spanning affair — unearthing songs from throughout a rich back catalogue spanning over a decade, alongside live favourites plus a sprinkling of new material too. Harkening back to his early days as a hard-gigging up and comer, Williams shared his excitement about hitting the road in Aotearoa once more...

“I’m sure the state of the world at large has a big part to do with it, but I’ve never felt more connected to this place nor more of a desire to explore its nooks and crannies. I want to scrounge my coins together for a hotdog from the Waihola Fish and Chip shop. I want to wind the window down driving over the Rimutakas because I’ve forgotten, once more, what happens when I try to read a book on that stretch of road”

UPDATE 2/03/21: Due to Covid-19 alert level changes, this week's Marlon Williams shows have been postponed with new dates to be announced...
