Watch Ripship's Wild Video For 'Lube The Cube'
Tāmaki Makaurau's Ripship caused quite a stir when the sci-fi psych-rock mania of their debut Greebles EP dropped like a bomb in May earlier this year, back when it seemed like the whole world was throwing its toys. While the dust of 2020 is yet to settle, the duo of Eva-Rae McLean (drums, vocals) and Callum Lincoln (guitar, synth, vocals) have unleashed a new video directed by Ellen Jones Poole for their collection's wonderfully wild standout track 'Lube The Cube' — based on the real life practice of adding lubricant to Rubik's Cubes to make them go faster at "speedcubing" events. The cacophonous pair take charge while contestants show off their skills (or lack of) in the fun, stylish and kind of grody clip. Take in the madness here and catch Ripship tearing it up at Raglan's Yot Club with Moppy supporting Earth Tongue this Friday...
