Princess Chelsea made her long-awaited return to Tāmaki Makaurau's stages last night, playing a commanding downtown set at The Tuning Fork with support from musical buds Crap Date and special guest Stef Animal (all the way up from Dunedin), plus wonderfully fun and creepy live visuals by famed video whiz Simon Ward. Joined by her top notch live band, Princess Chelsea was evidently on fire as she busted out crowd favourite after crowd favourite, with a vibrant almost psych-rock sound that would surely sound as magical in huge stadiums as it did in The Tuning Fork's relatively cosy surrounds.
