Watch Bulletbelt's Video For 'Flames Of Hell'
Rallying the troops to tear it up on their four date tour of the North island, Pōneke's Bulletbelt let loose hellish visuals for their song 'Flames of Hell' (from their fourth album Warlords), courtesy of Guns Akimbo director Jason Lei Howden (Deathgasm). There's no appearances by a panic-stricken Daniel Radcliffe this time around, just unrelenting dark intensity, with searing high contrast visuals channeling the DIY newsprint feel of subterranean metal's zine underground. Corpse-painted, leather-clad and sword-wielding dancers Hannah Tasker-Poland and Tian Gan bring a feral air of ritual magick to Bulletbelt's raw sonic assault — Jason Lei Howden spelled out the cult-like clip's eldritch message, originally premiered late last week by international heavy music mag Revolver...
"The concept of the video is that we are flicking through the pages of a metal zine from hell... It's a zine combined with the Necronomicon from Evil Dead, full of spells and curses. The backstory is that the band Bulletbelt were tricked by two evil Succubi, who are posing as corpse-paint-wearing heavy-metal dream girls. The band are now trapped in the zine, forced to perform within the pages for eternity while the Succubi dance."
