The new project of former Marlin’s Dreaming guitarist Tim McNaughton, Whisper Dish recently snuck out a debut EP sporting seven fuzz-pop tunes ideal for vibing out / pacing around your locked-down household to. Taking a DIY approach and learning to record in McNaughton's "makeshift cottage studio" has imbued his collection with an organic and relaxed, home-crafted feel. Lead track 'They Don't Know' sets the pace with chugging motorik / Subliminals-esque grooves and subtly psychedelic melodies, before settling into a laid-back yet catchy, garage punk / blues mode, sounding at times like he could share the same garden shed with Tāmaki crooner Vincent H.L. — treat your earholes here...
