Serpentwithfeet Shares Single 'Same Size Shoe'
For a much needed moment of romantic escapism, look no further than the singles emerging from serpentwithfeet's forthcoming sophomore album DEACON. Based in LA these days, the latest tracks from RnB dreamboat Josiah Wise sparked from his move away from New York, and they explore the unique beauty of Black, gay intimacy. Out today, 'Same Size Shoes' is the sweetest, tender love song, just a few days shy of being a home run Valentine's day release. The single follows up lead album track 'Fellowship' with earnest chorus refrain "I'm thankful for the love I share with my friends", where 'Same Size Shoes' dips into his values in a romantic relationship. Wise put it simply, "I prefer to date and love on Black men. I don’t want to be with anyone who can't go to my barber or walk a mile in my shoes," and 'Same Size Shoes' translates that sentiment into a poetic, mellow RnB cut. There's so much to look forward to on the rest of DEACON, including a feature from neo-soul artist Nao, and more songs like 'Same Size Shoes' that shrug off the 'blues' part of 'rhythm and blues'...
serpentwithfeet's second album 'DEACON' is out March 26th via Secretly Canadian.
