Polaroids Of Polarbears Share 'This Is What I Heard' EP
Recorded over 2020 in a shed in Feilding, the new five track EP from Polaroids of Polarbears evokes hazy days far away from the endlessly yo-yo-ing lockdown grind of Aotearoa's urban zones. The project of Daniel Brown (Churlington), POP's latest record This Is What I Heard blends fuzz-fueled shoegazey sonics with Brown's knack for a heart-tugging dream-pop melody, evident on current student radio fave 'The Secret To Treading Water, Take A Deep Breath'. Eight minute closing track 'April 11 2020' slows it all down, unfurling gentle guitar washes to coax listeners into swirling states of consciousness, before opening up the floodgates and letting rip with a triumphant and well-earned finale.
