Listen To Hasji's New 'GROVES' EP

Launched last night via the champs at Aotearoa / Te Moana Nui a Kiwa imprint Noa Records and already on high rotate on my digital listening devices, Hasji's new GROVES EP is like a sonic breath of fresh air — creating new neural pathways in sound before the weekend gets underway. The project of Bridge Shoebridge (Te Arawa - Ngāti Rangiwewehi, Te Ure o Uenukukōpako, Ngāti Whakaue), with contributions from Samara Alofa and Shiraz, Hasji's latest collection was made under a Gorge Public License (GPL), with fifty percent of profits from the release being donated to Te Arawa River Iwi Trust. Launched in the physical realm as a dual-sided semi-opaque print of Abigail Aroha Jensen's beautiful GROVES artwork plus digital download, the EP's six "heartcore gorge anthems" encourage contemplation and renewal, as the artist states...
