It's time to face the fact that  the days are indeed getting darker, as autumn wraps Aotearoa in its damp leafy embrace and those trees in Tāmaki's Albert Park really start to stink up a storm. Mini Simmons are here to help stave off those seasonally affected blues with their new single 'Push and Pull', out today with news of a six stop launch tour hitting venues nationwide in April and May. Bringing a touch of Marc Bolan glamour to their Stonesy sound, 'Push And Pull' boogies around to a slinky groove (featuring some nifty production flourishes and guitar wrangling) before busting into a tight as a whip singalong chorus, as singer Zak Hawkins implores us to shake out those dreary old cobwebs, lift that chin up and rediscover our lust for life — a timeless message that continues to ring true. Mini Simmons are celebrating New Zealand Music Month and the release of their next single Push and Pull by embarking on a 6 date tour of Aotearoa.

Over the past two years, the band have established themselves firmly as one of the premier live acts in the NZ music scene, gracing the stages of Rhythm & Vines, Splore, Sound Splash, Nest Fest and Outfield. 2019 saw Mini Simmons release their debut, self-titled Album to critical acclaim, with internationally renowned ‘Classic Rock Magazine’ praising the “sunkissed bath of gorgeous harmonies” on their lead single ‘A Way With Murder’.

Following on the back of a successful album release tour and a Summer Tour with Racing, Mini Simmons are hitting the road again to play a handful of their favourite haunts as well as a couple of new coastal classics the band has yet to check into.

Due for release April 14th, Push And Pull is a slinky 70s inspired rocker that tells the tale of being stuck in a sticky situation and the peculiar struggle of clawing your way out.
