Les Baxters Unveil Two Tracks From Self-Titled Album + Video

Chris Cudby / Monday 10th May, 2021 10:49AM

An otherworldly presence to all who witnessed them live when Les Baxters were originally active between 2014 and 2019, the Ōtautahi foursome are launching their forthcoming self-titled album this coming Friday 14th May, in conjunction with a special reunion event at Space Academy. The sonic super free sci-fi mind-meld of John Chrisstoffels (The Terminals, Dark Matter), Dave Imlay (Into the Void, No Exit), Paul Sutherland (Into the Void, Fence) and Erin Kimber (Sheet Sweater) have unveiled two tunes from the record, which is already sounding like an automatic purchase — ominously grooving no wave synth / spook-fest 'Toshi II' and the alluringly melodic yet uneasily chaotic 'Call Centre'. Succumb to the vibey video for 'Toshi II' along with both new tracks below...

'Les Baxters' is out digitally and on vinyl LP from Friday 14th May, pre-orders are available now.
