The 2021 Official NZ Music Month Summit Announced - Access All Aotearoa

Chris Cudby / Friday 14th May, 2021 12:23PM

Following last year's Covid disruptions, the annual Official NZ Music Month Summit happily returns to the physical realm on 29th May, capping off a much healthier NZ Music Month / Te Marama Puoro o Aotearoa 2021 with an all day programme of live panel discussions from music industry artists and experts in Tāmaki Makaurau. While the exact programme and speakers will be revealed next week, this year's overarching theme has been announced: Access All Aotearoa: Great local music for all New Zealanders – in every place, for every age & in every genre this NZ Music Month. Panels will be devoted to the topics of booking and promoting tours across Aotearoa, funding support for music from the government agencies, working as a producer with people near and far, and more.

Attendance to the live event at S @ Spark Arena (above the Tuning Fork) is free via registration here, and all panels will be streamed on the day through the MMF Aotearoa and Music Commission Facebook and YouTube channels — with online moderators available to take viewers questions and feed them through to the speakers. Here are the details...
