As if anticipating our shared obsession with this week's first visible blood supermoon in 40 years, Tāmaki Makaurau soulstress LOU’ANA's debut album Moonlight Madness left listeners spellbound when it was unveiled in October. Following her sold out NZ Music Month ‘Live at The Museum’ show with Reb Fountain and summer festival appearances at Splore and Nest Fest, the three times Pacific Music Award finalist has announced today a winter tour of Te Ika-a-Māui, playing four headline shows with full scale seven piece band. Tāmaki Makaurau based artist with her seven-piece band are going on the road this winter to serve up her soul funk grooves with a dose of Magick. Having carved a place for herself within Auckland’s vibrant music community over the past 7 years. Lou’ana’s voice carries the stature of an old soul; a cosmic cocktail of sweet and soulful, with an added gritty, blues edge that references the golden age of Etta James, to the rawness of Stevie Nicks. Her heart and soul translates through sound, in that unexplainable alchemy that happens when music meets word.

Moonlight Madness, LOU’ANA’s recently released debut album infuses her trademark funk, jazz and soul with a hint of her pacific roots to create Mystic Soul Music. The eclectic, free-spirited sound of three times Pacific Music awards finalist LOU’ANA is one of unparalleled magic.
