RIIKI Drops Dazed Video For 'In The Moment'
Achieving breakout success with her breezy 2019 track 'High Heights', Aotearoa electronic pop artist RIIKI's star doesn't look to be dimming anytime soon with today's release of a dazed new video for her latest single 'In The Moment'. Helmed by directorial maestro Connor Pritchard and created with the support of NZ On Air, RIIKI opens up a portal to altered zones and considers the notion of life in a loop in the hyperreal clip — delivering an eye-contact high with neon soaked vector graphics and psychedelic cybernetic imagery enmeshed with hazy club visuals.
RIIKI revealed her original concept for the video: “When I came to Connor with my ideas, I told him I really wanted to create a different type of world which represents the feeling of ‘how I’ was feeling like I was in a different type of world that felt foreign at the time of writing the song. I wanted to play with the concept of myself almost being ‘lost’ and trying to escape everything and everyone who is fully in the moment. The journey of the video (in my head from start to finish) was me trying to escape the chaos of people and environments which are embracing ‘being in the moment’”.
'In the Moment' is out now via major streaming services.
