Listen To Skody Banks' New EP 'Hack'

Although Skody Banks aka songwriter Sam Denne (Babyteeth) says "This wasn't the EP that I originally had planned to release", Hack is a total firecracker, bursting at the seams from six hefty shoegaze tracks in just under 15 minutes. Single 'Sick', a song Denne explained as a "a signing off of sorts, permitting people to ‘walk away’" during an extreme low point in their life, made its way into student radio charts in March, and I wouldn't be surprised if the other EP tracks followed suit. With lyrics and vocals from Babyteeth bandmate Madison Van Staden on 'Better Brain', from Hannah Swedlund on 'Alone' and 'Pavlova', and mixing magic from Amelia Berry (Amamelia, Babyteeth), Hack maintains an equilibrium of wailing punk guitar, devastating pop-synth, and even dreamy Julee Cruise-ness in 'Alone'.
