Grammy-nominated Melbournites Hiatus Kaiyote (yes I am spelling that correctly) have lifted the lid on their soul stacked new album Mood Valiant. Featuring twelve silky smooth new tracks, Mood Valiant has been cooking low and slow since Hiatus Kaiyote released their sophomore album Choose Your Weapon in 2015. Frontperson and singer Nai Palm takes you by the hand on gentle intro tracks 'Flight Of The Tiger Lily' and 'Sip Into Something Soft', adorned with chirping birds, velvety strings and seemingly impossible vocal runs that overflow from song to song.

Hiatus Kaiyote are one of a precious handful of bands that are journeying to our shores this year, with plans to venture to Pōneke and Tāmaki Makaurau in late September. Plenty of time to get cosy with their latest album. In the mean time, lock in your tickets and enjoy the buck wild visuals for 'Get Sun' — it's like if someone made a kids / stoners version of Sunshine...
